Abigail Hurst was given the incredible opportunity to contribute a chapter to Massey University's publication 'Making Space - A History of NZ Women In Architecture,' 2022, edited by architectural historian Elizabeth Cox. Her chapter 'Friends on the Doorstep': Women Architects and Cooperative Housing' involved the research of co-housing in NZ, and the interview of four different women working on cooperative housing projects throughout Aotearoa.
This book is a significant volume that is ground-breaking in acknowledging the historic and present women participating in architecture in New Zealand.
